아워 미드나잇

"아워 미드나잇" (Our Midnight) is a 2020 South Korean drama film directed by Lim Jung-eun. It is her directorial debut. The film is in black and white.

The story follows two characters:

• Jihoon: An aspiring, yet struggling, actor who lives in a rooftop house and was recently informed by his long-time girlfriend that she is marrying another and, therefore, leaving him.
• Eunyoung: An office worker who experienced dating violence from a coworker.

The two meet one night when Eunyoung is contemplating suicide by the Han River, where Jihoon is working a part-time job patrolling and preventing suicides. They end up walking together all night and, throughout their walk, they share their struggles with one another, finding comfort in their shared vulnerability.
